We we’re approached to take a look at how the National Youth Advocacy Service communicated within the care network and wider area.
NYAS is a UK charity providing socio-legal services, information, advice, advocacy and legal representation to children, young people and vulnerable adults through a network of dedicated paid workers and volunteers throughout England and Wales.
Central to the App is concise, clear information on a wide range of areas that NYAS can assist in to firstly educate on what services are available and secondly to provide a mechanism for communicating with the right people. The App hopes to guide people quickly to the people who can help them most with the basic knowledge and understanding so they can ask the right questions and find the help that best suits their needs. As a result it is hoped that NYAS will be able to answer more calls on their helpline.
The App was developed along with NYAS and Edge Hill University and deployed on Android phone and tablet, iPhone and iPad.
